We have also included information about our center should you be interested in scheduling a colon screening.

Our state-of-the-art facility offers first-class surgical care and technologies. Equipped to the highest standards and specifications, the center is backed by the experience of the finest physicians in the area, including fourteen board-certified gastroenterologists.
In an attempt to drive down cost and time off work we offer an option, for those age 50 and older in general good health, to schedule a colonoscopy directly through our center without requiring a pre-procedure appointment with a physician. On the day of your procedure, one of our board certified gastroenterologists will meet with you and discuss your health history, risks and benefits of the procedure and answer any questions you may have. We have convenient appointments available morning or afternoon to meet your needs.

We realize you have many options when it comes to healthcare providers. The staff of Madison Surgery Center would appreciate the opportunity to participate in your healthcare in our safe, efficient, friendly environment.
Colon Cancer Screening
If everyone aged 50 years or older had regular colon cancer screening tests, at least 60% of deaths from colon cancer could be avoided. So if you are 50 or older, start getting screened now.
Colon Cancer Questionnaire
- Are you aged 50 or older?
- Has a close relative had colorectal polyps or colorectal cancer?
- Do you have inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis, etc)?
- Do you have a genetic syndrome such as familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) or hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer?
- Have you passed any visible blood with your bowel movements?
- Has your bowel movement size, frequency, or firmness changed recently?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may be a risk for colorectal cancer. Men and women are both at risk for colorectal cancer. It is most often found in people 50 or older. Your risk increases with age.
